In L.A. class we are reading the book The Last Cuentista by Donna Higuera. In the book, the main character has to leave earth to live on a new planet. We were able to design a planet that would be perfect for us to live on if we couldn’t live on Earth. Here is mine:

Which means Minnie Mouse in Italian

Topominnie means Minnie Mouse in Italian. It is twins with Topolino which means Mickey Mouse in Italian. (Topolino is in the corner and the planets are only 10,000 miles away from each other. ) is located in our galaxy. If you look closely you can see a faint image of Minnie Mouse. Topominnie NEVER has any natural disasters. Billions of stars are around the planet even more! This planet has 3 moons and one is a sunset pink color, one is sunset orange and the other is sunset red. This planet has billions of beaches and the sunsets are the most beautiful! 

The people look the same as they do on earth. The population on the planet is about 300 people. All of the houses either have to be on the beach or across from the beach and there is a road that takes you all down to all the beaches called the Beach Road. The ocean is always Carolina blue and there are lots of palm trees. The planet is covered with lots of pink flowers and there is also grass that stays beautifully green always. There are also other plants that are like the ones on earth. The most common trees are Palm trees and Crepe Myrtles. The sand is as soft as a blanket. All of the restaurants are away from the beach except for the restaurants that require a beautiful view of the ocean. There is a large body of water called the sound across from the ocean. People like to fish and swim on the sound. There are houses on the sound too. The clouds are light pink, white and Carolina blue. There is gravity and the air is clean and fresh with no pollution at all. There is one beach called the rocky beach with a lot of rocks. It’s good for fishing, but not for swimming because the currents are unpredictable. You can go in the shallows but NOT actually in the deep water because it is so dangerous, unless you are a very strong swimmer. 

There is a forest on the planet with lots of animals. All of the animals there are the same as the ones on earth. For the water animals there is every animal except for the shark. Sharks were too scary on this planet. At the bottom of the planet there is a super cold island that they call “The freezer,” for all the animals that need the cold weather to live. The warmest it gets is -3 degrees. 

This planet has its own sun that will never blow up. In the summer the temperature is usually about 110 degrees Fahrenheit. In the winter the temperature is usually about 32 degrees Fahrenheit. In the fall and spring it is usually 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It has snowed on the planet but not a lot. 

There is a government and it is pretty much like how it is on earth, with a president and everything, this planet usually lets the people decide on a lot too!

Everyone usually gets along very well, and the most common way to communicate is texting or calling. There are phones but only Apple iPhones. This planet is  against Google and Android phones. There are computers, Apple watches and iPads too. There are lots of Starbucks and lots of Jeep dealerships and the prices of Lululemon clothing are not as high as they are on earth. The prices are about $50 an outfit. There are lots of chipotles too. But chipotle and Jimmy Johns are the only two restaurants that aren’t seafood restaurants on the planet. 

The most common food is seafood, which almost everyone eats. The fishermen catch the fish, then sell them to different restaurants. There are also other restaurants too like CookOut, Chili’s, Chipotle, Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns, Dunkin’ Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Bojangles, Moes, Starbucks, Dockside, Bluewater Grill, Boathouse, and Nantucket Grill.
